Walker Named VP of Franchise Development; Harriman Hired as VP of Public Relations

SEATTLE, Wash., April 16, 2008 – Gamer Doc™, the retail video game store that delivers a new and interactive customer experience, today announced that it has added David Walker and Pat Harriman to its executive team. Walker is the new vice president of franchise development and Harriman will serve as the vice president of public relations. Both report to president Jim Belanger, and will work out of Gamer Doc’s Newport Beach, Calif. office.
“I am very pleased that both David and Pat have joined our team here at Gamer Doc,” Belanger said. “I have worked with both of them before, and look forward to the contributions they will make to the company.”
Walker brings a strong sales and small business development background to Gamer Doc. He has worked for himself as well as for some of the largest retail and service companies in the world. He began his career at 17, working at the family-owned paintball retailer and event facility in Mission Viejo, Calif., and has held sales management positions with Starbucks Coffee Company, Home Depot Corp. and Pursuit Marketing, Inc. He most recently served as director of franchise development for Play N Trade video games.
“I am really excited to be part of the Gamer Doc team,” Walker said. “I am looking forward to helping franchisees grow along with our company.”
Harriman’s previous experience includes both agency and corporate positions for public and private companies in a variety of industries, including video games, franchising, telecommunications, Internet security, VoIP, consumer electronics and computer accessories.
“The video game industry is the hottest sector in retail, small business is the growth driver of the economy and Gamer Doc is going to be a leader in both of those categories,” Harriman said. “Jim and his partner David Huether are recognized experts in developing successful franchise concepts and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be working with them.”
