Gamer Doc™ Video Games Announces First Area Developer

Frank Borges to Develop Stores in California and Florida

SEATTLE, Wash., April 29, 2008 – Gamer Doc™, the retail video game store that delivers a new and interactive customer experience, today announced Frank Borges as the company’s first area developer. Borges will develop stores throughout Orange County, Calif., as well as in the Tampa/St. Petersburg and Orlando, Fla. markets.
“The announcement of our first area developer is very exciting,” said Jim Belanger, president of Gamer Doc. “The California and Florida markets offer great expansion opportunities for us, and I look forward to working with Frank to open the first Gamer Doc store sometime this summer.”
Gamer Doc stores are bringing a new innovation to retail. Customers are in charge of their own shopping experience, whether they are hardcore gamers, casual players, moms and dads, or senior citizens. Customers can easily find the games, consoles and accessories they want at the Xbox® 360, PlayStation® and Wii® “Gamer Centers” featured in each store. They can then spend as much or as little time, and receive as much or as little customer service, as they’d like before making their purchases.
“Customers are going to enjoy their Gamer Doc shopping experience and will keep coming back,” Borges said. “I am very pleased to be working with Jim as we introduce Gamer Doc to the many video game fans in the Orange County, Tampa/St. Petersburg and Orlando markets.”

Gamer Doc™ Adds David Walker and Pat Harriman to Executive Team

Walker Named VP of Franchise Development; Harriman Hired as VP of Public Relations

SEATTLE, Wash., April 16, 2008 – Gamer Doc™, the retail video game store that delivers a new and interactive customer experience, today announced that it has added David Walker and Pat Harriman to its executive team. Walker is the new vice president of franchise development and Harriman will serve as the vice president of public relations. Both report to president Jim Belanger, and will work out of Gamer Doc’s Newport Beach, Calif. office.
“I am very pleased that both David and Pat have joined our team here at Gamer Doc,” Belanger said. “I have worked with both of them before, and look forward to the contributions they will make to the company.”
Walker brings a strong sales and small business development background to Gamer Doc. He has worked for himself as well as for some of the largest retail and service companies in the world. He began his career at 17, working at the family-owned paintball retailer and event facility in Mission Viejo, Calif., and has held sales management positions with Starbucks Coffee Company, Home Depot Corp. and Pursuit Marketing, Inc. He most recently served as director of franchise development for Play N Trade video games.
“I am really excited to be part of the Gamer Doc team,” Walker said. “I am looking forward to helping franchisees grow along with our company.”
Harriman’s previous experience includes both agency and corporate positions for public and private companies in a variety of industries, including video games, franchising, telecommunications, Internet security, VoIP, consumer electronics and computer accessories.
“The video game industry is the hottest sector in retail, small business is the growth driver of the economy and Gamer Doc is going to be a leader in both of those categories,” Harriman said. “Jim and his partner David Huether are recognized experts in developing successful franchise concepts and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be working with them.”

FHA Architects and Gamer Doc Will Change the way the Video Game Store is Interpreted

Award-Winning FHA Architects to Design
Gamer Doc™ Video Game Store Interiors

Harlan Faust, Principal Architect, Leads Design Team

SEATTLE, Wash., and OMAHA Neb., April 9, 2008 – Gamer Doc™, the retail video game store that delivers a new and interactive customer experience, today announced that award-winning FHA Architects, based in Omaha, Neb., will provide design services for its store interiors. Harlan Faust, principal architect, is leading the design team.
“The concepts we’re developing will change the way the video game store is interpreted,” Faust said. “Conventional store designs resemble a library, with shelves and stacks of games. When customers walk into Gamer Doc, they will feel like they’re walking into a video game, not a video game store, experiencing the action, sounds and excitement of the game.”
Upon entering Gamer Doc, consumers may find themselves in a burned-out building, as if they are in a first-person shooter battle zone, or on board a futuristic “Borg Spaceship,” or in a carefree, cartoon-character atmosphere. Each design concept features special lighting, environmental, and sound effects to enhance the interactive experience.
“My partner David Huether and I have worked with Harlan on design projects over the years for various retail chains,” said Jim Belanger, president of Gamer Doc. “Harlan is a master at designing environments that enhance the relationship between customer and employee, and we are very excited to have him bring our concepts to life. Gamer Doc will not be just a video game store, but an experience for people to get involved in.”

Gamer Doc™ Unveils New Video Game Store
Prototypes at International Franchise Expo

Design Enhances Interactive Customer Shopping Experience

SEATTLE, Wash., April 3, 2008 – Gamer Doc™, the retail video game store that delivers a new and interactive customer experience, unveils its new store prototypes at the International Franchise Expo, April 11-13, 2008. The company is exhibiting in booth #327 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
“Our store design is a new innovation in retail,” said Jim Belanger, president of Gamer Doc. “Customers can come into the store and have the kind of personal shopping experience they want. They can come in and make a purchase, browse the latest and upcoming titles, try out, trade-in, rent or pre-order games, or have repairs made with as much or as little assistance as they like. Each customer is in charge of their own shopping experience.”
Gamer Doc franchisees will choose from three different concepts for their store interior: a burned-out building, a futuristic, or a character theme. The layout for all Gamer Doc stores features two “Pro Gamer” pods at the front, “Gamer Centers” for Xbox®, Play Station® and Wii® consoles and video games, flat-panel monitors for trying games, and a used game section.
“Our franchisees have the best understanding of how customer preferences vary by local markets. We want the franchisees to choose the theme for their store interior design that best fits their location,” Belanger said. “We believe that this concept will create a lot of excitement and generate a ton of interest in Gamer Doc at the show.”
Since its launch in December 2007, Gamer Doc has sold franchises in Orange County, California; Tampa/St. Petersburg and Orlando/Daytona Beach, Florida, with stores in development in each of those territories.
