Burlington Gamer Doc™ Video Game Store to Give Away a Wii® a Week During February Grand Opening
Mayor Cam Jackson Kicks-Off Festivities with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
BURLINGTON, Ontario, Jan. 29, 2009 – Gamer Doc™, the retail video game store that delivers a new and interactive customer experience, today announced that the Burlington store is celebrating its grand opening, Feb. 2 – Feb. 28, 2009, and will be giving away a Wii® console each week. The festivities begin at 11:00 a.m. on Feb. 2, when Burlington Mayor Cam Jackson performs the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, after which refreshments will be served.
“We want everyone to visit our store and enjoy the Gamer Doc experience, so we are celebrating the entire month of February,” said James Bajc, store owner. “Everyone is invited to come in and sign-up to win a Wii console or a store credit if they already have one. We will be holding a drawing every Friday at 7:00 p.m., and will announce the winner’s name. If they are not present at that time, we will contact them to come in and claim their prize.”
The first Wii drawing will be held on Feb. 6th, and T-shirts and wristbands will also be awarded as door prizes throughout the month. Refreshments will also be served each week during the Wii drawing.
“Video games offer families the best value for their entertainment dollar, which is one of the reasons they are rapidly becoming more popular than watching TV, going to sporting events, concerts or movies,” Bajc said. “The Wii console is especially fun, because the whole family can participate and even get some exercise as they bowl, play tennis, golf, or baseball.”
The Burlington Gamer Doc store is located at 3350 Fairview Street. Store hours are from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. The store telephone number is 905-631-8390 and the website is http://www.gamerdoc.com/locations.aspx.

Gamer Doc™ Video Games Extends East Coast Footprint
City of Bear Will Be Location for First Gamer Doc Store in Delaware
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Jan. 6, 2009 – Gamer Doc™, the retail video game store that delivers a new and interactive customer experience, today announced the sale of its first store in Delaware, which will be located in the city of Bear. Steven Brehm is the store owner.
“The Gamer Doc in Bear is our third on the East Coast, joining the stores in Philadelphia and Miami,” said Jim Belanger president of Gamer Doc. “We also have Gamer Doc stores open in Toronto and Los Angeles, and are looking forward to continued strong growth across North America throughout this year.”
Brehm plans to open his store at the beginning of February.
“The video game industry is one of the lone bright spots in retail, and our franchisees are very excited to be part of it,” Belanger said. “While other types of entertainment are experiencing decline, video game sales continue to grow because gamers are very reliable consumers, choosing to play video games rather than watch TV, go to a movie or attend a sporting event.”
